The West Midlands is home to one of Europe’s largest and fastest growing Business, Professional and Financial Services (BPFS) sectors; with around 48,000 companies employing over 358,000 people. Home to firms including Deloitte, Deutsche Bank, HSBC, KPMG and PWC, to name a few, it’s a powerful sector that can do more than generate wealth.
BPFS Black Leaders Network sees a host of established leaders from across the region’s BPFS sector come together to promote and encourage positive change. Driven by fairness and the importance of inclusion, we’re keen to celebrate the firms prioritising D&I and shine a light on the ways of working that we should all adopt.
Join us as part of our six-part webinar series, where we’ll introduce the work of BPFS Black Leaders Network, the people involved, and the organisations that we’re proud to see operating in more inclusive ways across the region.
On Thursday 27 May, we’re being joined by a fantastic panel to look at why diversity is so important and the benefits it has to business, how to embrace difficult conversations and tackle unconscious bias, as well as providing measures to hold ourselves – and each other – accountable.
Chaired by Dr Karl George MBE, Founder and Managing Director at The Governance Forum, Founder of The Race Equality Code, and Founding Member of BPFS Black Leaders, this is a session not to be missed!
He will be joined by Vanessa Belleau, Equity and Inclusion Strategic Consultant at High Fifteen, who’s worked with brands including Gymshark and Levis, to name a few.
As well as Alex Tross, Director at Lambert Smith Hampton and Deputy Chair of Colmore BID, and Nicola Fleet-Milne, Chair of Colmore BID and CEO of FleetMilne.
Having a succinct strategy around diversity has huge commercial benefits and can aid innovation within a business. By opening up the conversation and committing to diversity across the board, BPFS firms can secure their future; opening up talent pipelines, reaching out to new customer markets; and re-affirming a leadership style and culture that better suits an up-and-coming workforce.
Join us for this fantastic webinar, alongside our media partner Reach Plc and with thanks to Prominent Digital, who are hosting the series for us.
